PostSubject: Re: Job seeking thread   Wed Nov 07, 2012 1:17 pm

Was procrastinating about finding a job the entire year and when I check my email lo' and behold this:

Sooooo tempting!! I didn't even have to lift a finger and I got myself an offer, but I know I can't teach for crap and I passed the unit mainly by a major fluke on my part and I've already forgotten everything to do with economics. But damn...this is exactly the kind of easy job I've been searching for!

What do I do guys?

P.S. I have to compete with these guys >>
Spoiler:

Seems like my chances are quite slim...

Haha it's not like I'm definitely gonna get accepted or anything. That two-day course sounds painful.
Anyway, I'll prob give it a try and hand in my application after the exams are done.

haha, although it's going to be tough with the large pool of applicants, just remember that this opportunity doesn't come along too often. Give it your all so you won't have any regrets later on!

We'll help you as much as possible if you want to practice in a mock-style class! Also... can't stop looking at your signature x.x

Haha funny you should mention that. I've only just recently mastered the art of creating animated gifs, now I can make gifs of my favourite scenes whenever I feel like.

P.S. I take requests. I should make a topic in case anyone's interested.

What program are you using? You should teach me one day!! Very Happy

Anyways it's not exactly a real job, but I'll be undertaking a 3 month tax accounting internship in Melbourne. No summer holidays for me... haha D;

I'm using a program called UnFREEz which basically creates animated gifs from a selection of images. For anime-style gifs you could take a series of screenshots and then feed it into the program and it will output a .gif file. If anyone else is interested I could make a more in-depth tutorial later (after the exams).

Also the internship sounds like a good opportunity to gain some real-world experience while earning some extra cash haha Very Happy

ooh thanks! I'm going to research if there's a way to import a video into another program to convert them into frames. Screen capturing sounds way too tedious!! haha
