What's the difference between a hotcake and a pancake? (is it to do with the size?)

Oh gosh i dunno i thought it had something to do with how it's cooked!!! Brb google
jee that was fun... So pancakes are flatbread and can retain it's fluffiness for longer in the pan. It is also good for if you want to put huge thick layers of jam and butter. Hotcakes on the otherhand are smaller in diameter and is apparently limp once it gets in the fry pan. Also in hotcakes they put a raising agent to make it look fluffy and pancakes have none of that! And also hotcakes are the ones that are served in stacks not pancakes!

So... Were you eating pancakes or hotcakes all this time? 8D
