You know what else needs more thinking out? My manga storyline...urggh.

Damn procrastination! Damn Participation Journal! That and a manga storyline for Jenta.

I was thinking of making a slice-of-life manga (only a bit exaggerated and a hint of comedy) about uni life. What plagues my mind is a lot of questions in regard to the manga.

Who are the main characters? Should they live on campus or at their homes? What courses should they take? Should they be based off our life? Should I make it a 4-koma and build it up from there?

Wow, that's a lot of brainstorming right there...

Eh, I'm thinking out my hospital manga one. T-T

It's called Resonance- basic storyline----girl (Chiarasu) suffers from multiple disorders/diseases, literally can drop dead at any moment- as she has fainting spells. Werewolf guy (Sen) smells the sickness in her in the street, before she collapses in front of him. The werewolf happens to be a doctor at this newly established hospital run by supernatural beings-> to aid in the health system of humans (since "Hell/ Underworld" already had enough. Her condition is so bad that it was a bleak prognosis- death within a few hours.
When the shinigamis came to collect her soul, there was a message from higher-up saying that she shouldn't die <----insert mystery reason here.
Only way to save her life was if she turned into a werewolf so her body could regenerate and recover her health. So even though there was a restriction placed that anyone working in a medical environment esp. treating humans- that the beings aren't allowed to "turn" patients into their own kind, Sen bit Chiarasu.
And that is the start of how she became a werewolf, started living a life without pain or sickness, had no funds to pay back for the treatment, had no future so she was made to work as a nurse at the hospital, could not live with her family anymore (racial segregation)<--- in order to cover up her past life, they faked her death and funeral (justified that she was going to die anyway so her passing was imminent) etc.

Seriously, it has that Shiki feeling when I read that storyline.

Basically, this is my storyline.

The Real World

It's basically all about life as a uni student (the way I perceive it as) and life's ups and downs. Murphy's law plays a lot in this and also a bit of physics and chemistry is used in this too (as humor). Also a lot of "breaking the 4th wall"

It's just a basis. The main cast has yet to be established.

I like mixing the supernatural and medicine/science into it (starting to remind me of Brave New World again). -.- I need to find other collective term to refer to the other races that are not human....I thought of werein but that sounded lame. <.< (stupid rps)
Trauma Center? I wish! It doesn't only focus on operations but the day-to-day lives of nursing staff too and bored/inquisitive patients.
Haha Shiki! I guess, *tilts head* except it isn't that foreboding. I have to remind myself that it is more comedy and a bit of ecchi. And dramatic at times.

Ooh would you add a bit of supernatural element to your storyline too? Or something of the imagination?

Nah, I'm trying to keep it realistic rather than fantasy. but then again I just found out that someone already took my idea...

Oh well, I got a back up idea. A dodgeball manga with exaggerated moves, anyone?

Storyline wise, I'm still thinking up of one.

How about... A manga set in ancient japan, a story of a "master thief of hearts" (will think of a more suitable name later...) and had made many women fall in love with him, but he only appears at night (~moe)
but one simple servant girl had discovered his secret, that's he's a ....(thinks of an animal...) rabbit during the day!
And that's all i've come up with so far...

As for drawing them up. Need some sort of inspiration for the main character design.
