yeah ferry ride does sounds prerty good, easy to relax and talk and good scenery too.

PLUS i havent been on a ferry for over five years

Cool, don't think i've ever been to Manly before, so is it decided as an event yet? Any activities to do in Manly or just catching the ferry?

hrmm i'm thinking of planning/hosting an amazing race event for the club
was wondering if anyone would be interested
thought i should inform abit before making a new topic
what this is, is that you'll be given a piece of paper with clues.. and in groups of 2-3.. you have to figure out those clues.. by running around ..
the venue is city .. so most likely from central to circular quay
and for proof that you have those clues.. you need to take a picture of the answer
so for example.. 'high circular tower' = centrepoint tower .. so you need a pic of it with your camera
.. the group that completes the quest will get a prize of course..
now there will be a time limit.. around 2-3 hours.. if within that time that no one completes it.. we will all gather and whoever has the most completed with correct answers win =)
so just want all of your opinions and if anyone would be interested..
oh this will most likely take place in january... but we'll talk about dates later

@FMV: =O heeeey beach sounds awesome! when shall we have that? lawl

@dannieh: amazing race sounds interesting! ^^ hopefully it wont be too hot on the day though, running around searching for stuff sure is tough in hot weather, and also the clues you give shouldn't be the same that way we can prevent people from following others XD

@Dannieh: Thats not like amazing race, amazing race has physical challenges that make it interesting, what your suggesting is called a scavenger hunt, but still I'm in if we mannage to get enough people to participate.

@Danny: This is interesting! It kinda reminds me of what Beauty and the Geek did. I reckon if you are doing Amazing Race style, it would be like "Meet at fountain in Hyde Park. Detour: Relaxing or Exercising (Relaxing is tai-chi, exercising is running up and down stairs..ok lol I'm not good at making up activities.) True, it would be hard to do Amazing Race style because you need clue boxs and arrows stuck everywhere and don't know if people would pull things down..<.< *as graffiti. Still it is a good idea!

hahaha.. yeahh.. it will be difficult to do it like amazing race style
but the point is just figuring out the correct clues and running around to collect proof =)
teamwork and its quite fun
but i shall try and make it according to amazing race if you like and do an activity at each location .. but that will be hard since you guys have to figure out the locations using the clues given =)
