There definitely needs to be another hide & seek event considering that the security guards ended our fun last time! Funny how Vincent was still missing for half an hour after we were forced to quit.

A field trip to KFC.

@jadems - Z.O.M.G. I thought of the Westfield thing because when I was in high school my friend suggested it. But then...if you can't go into the shops, where can you hide?

Anyways, here are some ideas:

Hide and Seek - I like this idea too

Actually...how about this? I can't think that they're called.

1. Someone has to hide (you can know who it is before hand) and everyone looks. Once you find that person, you have to hide with them. Keep going until the last person finds everyone else.

2. One person is in and everyone else hides. Once you find them, you have to link up (anyway, link arms, hold hands, grab item of clothing, hold onto bag strap, etc) and then go find the other people.

I like the first one too.

I think the uni grounds would be a good place, I'm sure there'd be a lot of hiding places. I suggest restricting it to the South Campus though and of course, adding some rules and boundaries.

I think you might be allowed inside some buildings. Like, I think it'd be okay if you went into one of the rooms in the EA or EB buildings (I may be wrong about this though. Someone let me know if it's not allowed). But I'd say no to hiding in places like the library...and of course, bathrooms. That's probably one of the most obvious.

And I think we should set a time limit (e.g., after maybe 30 minutes we all meet back in a particular spot).

Some kind of outing:

I'm part of a group of anime fans and we've met up a few times, some of us cosplay, some don't. We hang out, normally in Hyde Park, eat junk food, have fun. The cosplayers do photo shoots, and the rest of us just hang around, eating the food and watching the stuff. Everyone could bring something to share or we could have lunch. Maccas is probably about 100m down the road. It probably doesn't cost too much either and the church grounds opposite Hyde Park are good for photoshoots (my friends took photos on the grounds there once). Same goes for the area around the fountain at Hyde Park.


Movie night?
We could meet somewhere and go watch something. If so, I suggest making a poll to find out what people would be interested in (e.g., I'll watch anything except scary movies. I don't like those. Except the satirical kind (like the Scary Movie series). Those are funny.). If people are up for it, we can meet up earlier and have dinner. Mondays and Tuesdays are probably good nights. Tuesdays because it's discount (at least at Greater Union). And if anyone got a card in O-week, you can get cheap movie tickets on Mondays. I know I have mine somewhere at home.

Another idea is a movie night at someone's place. Of course, any volunteers would have to ask/advise their parents (depending, of course) if it's okay. I will say up front that I don't think my place would be big enough. Also, due to travel (as not all of us live close to each other), maybe a movie afternoon would be more appropriate, so people who need to be home at a certain time or live a long distance away can leave at a decent hour still.

Anyways as I am part of the group of "Event/Games/Activity Organizers" I thought I should make some decent suggestions.

Hide and Seek isn't good in some of the buildings because I went down to level one at EA and I think they saw me in the basement area and through the fire escape doors. @.@

Either that or we could go out to the city and play hide and seek there. Of course, we'd have to limit it to a certain area because the entire city would be way too big.

Ack. I didn't think of that. *facepalm*. But going to the actual cinema is probably still a viable option.

@Kaifanatic - Ooh. You just gave me an idea. If anyone remembers the online karaoke - how about a real life one? Like, we could just meet up in our usual meeting room at the uni or something. You can use background music (with or without lyrics) or do it a capella (that's without music) and stuff like that. No hard feelings if you sing off key or make mistakes, it's all just fun.

I'm still totally for hide and seek. I just wanted to throw ideas around.

@Bluna - Are you referring to the idea of playing hide and seek in the city? In that case, you don't have to run. You can just walk quickly.

But bowling sounds kinda good. I can't believe I didn't think of it myself.

Still, we've got a month. It's possible that we could do more than one outing.
