IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!

Wednesday club meeting and Thursday club meeting

EB. 3.33 (time whenever)

These rooms are a bit like mini-lecture rooms, but it won't be as large of a room as the one in EB. G. 06 - not much running around I guess.
And it's available up until october 31st.

Apparently, the two rooms we were given are now unavailable and scheduled with classes, so we will need to be allocated to another room =.="
I'll be talking to Chris tomorrow so hopefully he can confirm more permanent rooms for the rest of this semester and will post here asap.

Updated- received an email from Chris, the Campus Life Officer from uws connect. This is what he said:

Summary: Since there are limited spaces, we have a choice of these rooms for Thursday 12-2.
Seriously considering holding multiple club meetings throughout the week.

For Wednesday, we can have a room from 12-4pm, in EA. 1.29.

Awesome. I was wondering where the meeting would be. I'll see everyone in about 11 hours.

I don't have my Thursday morning tutorial this week, and I just woke up too!

But I'll be there from next week onwards!

mmm I take that those 3 options are normal classrooms? Maybe we can go with 2 hours of screenings/regular club activities and spend the rest of the time outside on the grass area like during our first 4 weeks.

It's a shame that EB. G. 06 will be booked out though... it was the only place that could rival the lecture theaters haha.

Hmm I don't think that double meeting will be a good idea, no need to splinter an already small turnout. What we need to do is advertise and get previous members back + new ones

By the sound of it the room doesn't matter which one we pick as they are all regular size =/

I wouldn't have minded the double meeting if it was on Monday...Wednesday is one of my days off. Besides - if I come in...I'll end up spending more...and I'm trying to save.

How about we just take the room on Thursday and for the other time, maybe hang around outside?

@Russ: It won't splinter the group as you have an option of attending both or one of the meetings depending on your availability. Still, we will go advertise on Thursday.

yeah but people will only go to one and thus splintering occurs!

Otoha has a point. I don't have class on Wednesday, so I'm not likely to come in. Last semester was an exception...until I couldn't use my concession sticker anymore...because I only had two days, so coming in on a 3rd wasn't so bad.

Remember everyone, Wednesday is just an option. If you can't make it to Wednesday, you can come on Thursday and vice versa.
So we are having two club meeting days!

^^ Since I'm also at uni on Wednesdays, I might drop in Thursday will be my normal day though...I need something to fill in break...

Sounds good, but knowing hive they wont give us a definite yes until 1 week before the end of semmester =.= we should probably go sneaking around and just pick one this week and keep it

@Russ: It's not the Hive anymore as it got disbanded due to political differences.
I'm glad we got confirmation today, so no more worrying when the next class is going to come in and take the room.

Haru, you can update the front page with the times now, and I can send out the times on facebook.
