Merry Merch-making for SMASH! UPDATED 1st post!

It's a little over a month to go, and we have to really start making merch for SMASH! this time again-
but we have a new dilemma- we need something original and creative to sell- something that can override the "bootlegging inspectors" and "copyright infringement".
And hopefully we can break even and make some profit.
Our goal- $300 and over.

Plug in your ideas now~ if you haven't already at the chatbox yesterday.

DEADLINE: end of this week (if no feasible ideas are generated, I'll retract our store holding for SMASH! this year)

I was thinking since Vocaloid is very popular, how about we make Magnet headphones and sell them?
Or if we are cheap, just sell the wings and get people to attach it to their own headphones? Or make headphones out of styrofoam and paint it black.
There are a bunch of tutorials on deviantart and the most we need is thick paper/cardboard, glue and paint (cellophane if you want the colours to be transparent).

^ ooh that's a really good idea! i'd prefer to buy just the wings though XD and maybe someone can wear a pair of headphones with the wings attached for some advertising!

@Anna: Yeah I was thinking of that option too, but I don't think we can offer gluing on the spot though.

Nyan cat seems alright. Just have to make it keyring size because if it's too big, it'll use up more material.
I'm going to ask if we can put a disclaimer message or something on our products.

Sticking with the magnet headphone idea- though I'm not going to buy headphones, just making wings or headbands with styrofoam. Need to make a prototype.

Started making prototype butterfly wings...just need to get the paint right.
So far I'm using oil paint and acrylic (that reminds me of what I did with my HSC artwork except this time, no WATERCOLOUR! >.<)
I'm going to have to get someone in my family to cut out the wings for me because scissors don't work for foamboard!

i'll post up what we had last year and we can all decide whether to have them again or not.
I think we also better decide who will be working at our stall so that those who arent working can buy their tickets.

I made felt cookie/pancake pins, some plush bread keyrings and in the process of making these butterfly "headphones" (Vocaloid song: Magnet).
